Our Services

Bulk Billing at Armstrong Creek Doctors

At Armstrong Creek Doctors, we believe cost should never be a barrier to accessing healthcare. We are a fully bulk billing clinic, meaning eligible consultations are provided at no out-of-pocket cost for patients with a valid Medicare card.

What Is Bulk Billing?

Bulk billing is a payment option under Medicare where your doctor charges Medicare directly for the cost of your consultation. When you are bulk billed, you pay nothing out of pocket. Medicare covers the entire consultation fee.

To be bulk billed, you simply need to present a valid Medicare card at each visit. Our reception team will confirm your eligibility at the time of booking or on arrival.

Who Is Eligible for Bulk Billing?

All patients with a valid Medicare card are bulk billed for eligible consultations at Armstrong Creek Doctors.

Please ensure you bring your current Medicare card to every appointment.

Services Not Covered by Bulk Billing

While the vast majority of consultations are fully bulk billed, a small number of services fall outside Medicare’s bulk billing guidelines and will incur a private fee. These include:

  • Immunisations and vaccines
  • Home visits
  • Travel medicine
  • Procedures
  • Skin treatments
  • Medical and other reports
  • Pre-employment medical assessments
  • Driver medical assessments
  • IV medicine management
  • Allied health and pathology services

Our reception team will do their best to advise you of any applicable fees before your appointment so you always know what to expect.

WorkCover & Transport Accident Commission (TAC)

If you are attending an appointment for a WorkCover or TAC related matter, please note:

  • Upfront payment is required on the day of your appointment
  • You will receive a tax invoice and receipt to claim reimbursement
  • The clinic does not bill WorkCover or TAC directly
  • WorkCover patients must notify their employer and bring employer details

If you have any questions before your appointment, our reception team is happy to help.

What If I Don’t Have a Medicare Card?

If you do not hold a valid Medicare card, your consultation will be privately billed and payment will be required on the day. Depending on your private health insurance, you may be able to claim a partial rebate through your insurer.

MyMedicare — Strengthening Your Care

We invite all patients who consider Armstrong Creek Doctors their regular GP clinic to register for MyMedicare. MyMedicare is a voluntary Australian Government patient registration program that strengthens the relationship between you, your GP, and our practice team.

Registering does not affect your Medicare benefits, and you can leave the program at any time.

Have a Question About Fees?

Our reception team is happy to answer any questions about billing, fees, or your Medicare eligibility.
